I stood shocked and confused, she had just said, "I would take the drug first thing."​ I didn't know what to say. This was a God fearing woman and she just said she would take whatever drug they offered without question.

​I couldn't reconcile what she had said. I mean, I don't want to feel pain either, I don't even want to give birth myself, but how can you justify taking whatever a doctor would offer. Does she know what are in those drugs and what they do to your body.  
​
​I can't do that! I can't take those drugs knowing what kind of poisons are in them. I guess I will just have to endure the pain of child birth. 

There has to be another way. There has to be some way I can at least make it a little more pleasant than what I have seen childbirth be in movies and what I have heard from other peoples stories.

​That conversation send me on a journey of discovery of birth. I began to follow birth people on Instagram. To buy more books than I could read. To learn more about pregnancy and birth than I ever thought I would.

Oh the world it opened up for me. I went from not wanting to give birth to being excited to experience a way that I wanted to share with the whole world.
